Toronto's MY HOUSE in the Junction live music venue & restaurant has teamed up with Brooklyn, NY's Browntasauras Records -- who has a studio in the Junction -- to bring you some of the best jazz in the country, this year featuring Artist-In-Residence BROWNMAN ALI as the fest's Artistic Director. Up from Brooklyn, NY in June for this festival, this 10x Global Music Award winner, 12x JUNO Award nominee and GRAMMY long-lister will be on stage every night during the festival as either a sideman or a leader, and has hand-picked all the top-shelf musicians involved in the 1st annual My House Junction Jazz Fest! Jordana Talsky is a multi-award winning singer/songwriter (semi-finalist at the Sarah Vaughn International Vocal Jazz Competition) and vocal looper who crafts intricate soundscapes using only her voice and body, live-looped through a Roland Boss RC505. Her EP Zahava -- Hebrew for "golden" and her middle name -- showcases this innovative approach, layering harmonies, rhythms, and melodies without pre-recorded parts. Her vocal loop track, “RUN,” was selected as a finalist in Canada’s CBC Searchlight Contest.

Hailed as “one of the greatest interpreters of Miles Davis' work in Canada” (Hamilton Spectator), multi award-winning trumpet iconoclast Brownman Ali leads a tribute to a pivotal chapters in Miles'history. Join Democrats Abroad Toronto, concerned US and Canadian citizens and allies around the world on June 14th, 2025, as we stand up for democracy as part of the global No Kings/No Tyrants protest movement!

The Trump administration will be throwing a military parade for Donald Trump's birthday. In protest, Democrats around the world are gathering to demonstrate what we believe in: that democracy matters and the United States does not belong to a wannabe king. On June 14, we're showing up everywhere Donald Trump isn't--to say no to tyrants, no to dictators, no to oligarchs, and no to autocrats.

On Saturday June 14th-Democrats Abroad will host a short rally across the street from the US Consulate, gathering to march together to Queens Park and join the Indivisible No Tyrants Rally. We'll march north on University, West on Dundas, North on McCaul, East on College to South Lawn of Queens Park.
